a collection of my various sessions, trips and works.

i shoot on fujifilm.

info:

i now primarily shoot with a fujifilm X-T5.

sometimes a fujifilm X100V. (35mm equivalent)

nothing intense. good practice and ability make for better gear than any gear could. maybe one day i can say that with a straight face.

background:

i really like shooting on fujifilm. about 10 years ago i pretty much gave up on photography when the hobby began to feel overwhelming. years later, after wanting to get back into it, i bought the fujifilm X100V. i gotta say, it really pulled me back into love with the activity. all of a sudden i was out all the time shooting pictures again. because of that i’m definitely a brand enthusiast. everyone has their favorite.

when i was about 21 i was gifted a Canon EOS 40D, a pretty chunky old thing that had about an 8MP sensor and used a compact flash memory card. it really wasn’t my thing but i kinda poked at it for a couple years and somewhere along the way i began to take it more seriously. definitely after looking back along ten years i noticed a pretty stunning amount of progress. since then i’ve come to really appreciate and love photography. it showed me that if you stick to something long enough, anyone can ass-backwards into some reasonable level of proficiency in a subject. it taught me to take better awareness of my surrounding and better connect where i am. your mind never really turns it off after that. i actually think photography (among other expression forms) is a really great way to show an extension of ourselves, or our subconscious image. that sounds all a bit artsy-fartsy but when i look at my work i see a lot of myself in there. in a great many ways. we spend most all of our social time trying physically tell someone who we are, yet i think these forms of expression show us off in a way that you cant access just by talking to someone. there’s a great part of us that can’t be told, but observed and subtly expressed. that works with some people, it doesn’t work with other people. ill never say that i’m great at photography, but i’m proud of what i’ve done, at each stage and experience level. so maybe you’ll see what i see, or maybe you won’t. that’s no problem at all, i still hope you enjoy your time here. maybe you’ll end up finding something you like.

please consider my work. joke at it, shrug at it, enjoy it. have fun. or dont. do whatever!

please enjoy.
